My poor neglected Blog

Well it seems appropriate that I should be silent between the time the Shahen left and returned. He came back yesterday and I as usual was on pins and needles till I got an SMS from him saying he was once again on firm ground. Hard to teach with a smile when you are afraid for a loved one, but I managed.

So we have had a lovely day so far though most of it was spent at school. Last night was catching up and talking talking and talking. He is really tired, my poor pumpkin, but he'll be alright soon. He is meeting me in a few minutes so I have to make this short.

We are off to Plovdiv for 2 days (Cant wait to see the woman at the train ticket counter again), then to the mountains for a couple of days then to the black sea for three nights and 4 days. Then I go back to work and he can be Mr. Mom, to my little stinky critter, who is going to stay with Auntie Yoli as of tonight.

OK, off I go. I am tired as HELL but energized. I have a week off school and I know it will fly in a blink. My phone just made a sound which means he just SMSed me saying he is outside so take the spelling errors with a grain of salt as I dont have time to check em right now.

Ta ta for now.

My God, I have been just awful!

All the important things in the last three weeks have flown by without a record; mainly Shahens visit and my birthday. I was so spoiled by the kids who bought me one of the best gifts I have gotten, and made such a big deal of it. It was really sweet of them.

Then 2 days later S came and we spent 11 glorious days together just hanging out, seeing the sites of VT and visiting a lot of restaurants. There is a huge void in my life now, which Oscar is only party able to fill (seeing as he's so little and all- especially since his haircut).

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. He is coming back for my spring break which is at the end of this month.

We have set a wedding date, but this is subject to availability of the hall we want and also subject to my finding a job fairly soon. There is also a possibility that we will wait till next spring so that we can fly off to Paris afterwards for our honeymoon. So I will keep it a secret for now. I'm wedding hall shopping actually.

My laptop bit the dust and I have the old clunker set up at home again. This is truly a kick in the butt, but what can I do? I have to live with the cards I'm dealt and so far I'm not complaining.

Its Friday, and I missed most of the staff meeting (darn) and now its time to go home early.
